Pets

I love all my pets, they are so cute, fun, inspiring, and just full of happiness. So today I thought I would share some pictures and stories of my favourite little animals!

First of all, here is Lucky. He's about 3 years old almost exactly now. We got him when he was about a month old, the vet had to guess. My boyfriend at the time found him, his mother had abandoned him, and someone that found him had thrown him in a box and just left him there. Poor little thing.

Here are two pictures of him from the day I got him.

And some pictures of him now

He is one of the smartest cats I've ever had, but also one of the craziest. When we first got him I had to litter train him, which was surprisingly easy. I also would feed him cat milk and wet food at different times during the day because he had no teeth. He really shouldn't have been away from his mother. He didn't know how to clean himself yet so I would give him baths. And he slept in the cat carrier in my room for a while because he was so small, we didn't want him roaming around the house alone at night. I felt like I was raising my baby, he would "cry" in the middle of the night for food. Luckily our other cats stepped in to teach him stuff that I couldn't.

Next, here is Cookie. She is my sister's cat. We got her at the humane society for her grade 8 graduation. She is about 5 or 6 years old now. She's very cuddly and has a beautiful face.

She's very playful at times, and very dainty as well. We consider her the "good cat" because she doesn't really do much to cause trouble

And here is Trouble! I got him when I was almost 9. which makes him about 12 years old now. He's my big black huggy cat! We got him from the human society. They told us that he and 2 of his brothers or sisters were brought to the humane society when someone found a bag on the side of the road with 6 kittens in it. Unfortunately 3 of those kittens didn't survive the hypothermia. Trouble was still sick when we picked him out so we had to wait a little bit before we could bring him home. He was a tiny little thing when we got him, but with a lot of love and food, he got pretty big!

And last but not least, here is the dog! His name is Scamp and he was born on April 2nd 2001. We got him at a pet store called Love's Pet Store. Getting him was very random and spontaneous. We were there getting fish and saw him in his little cage and fell in love. He was about 3 months old when we got him.
I feel kind of bad, I don't take many pictures of him

So there you have it, the crazy animals that live with me behind the scenes of my shop!
Of course I don't let them in the room that I sew in. Lucky had a bit of a thread swallowing incident a little over a year ago.

Have a great day everyone!
